Welcoming Arshia and Nima!

Recently, two new graduate students joined us at the CIRRUS Lab: Arshia Moghimi since June and Nima Nasiri starting this week. They are both MASc students in the ECE department. They kindly provided short bios of themselves for introduction:

"I'm an MASc student in the ECE Department of UBC. I got my Bachelor's degree from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. Although my main focus in undergraduate studies was on the Computer Architecture area of research, I gained interest in Serverless Computing as it is a new and growing topic (I love working with new technologies and innovations!). My goal in pursuing a graduate degree is to understand and identify the shortcomings of serverless platforms and try to advance the current state of it."

Arshia Moghimi

"I am a Master's student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UBC; co-advised by Dr. Shahrad and Dr. Gopalakrishnan. My interests lie at the intersection of computing theory and systems, with a current focus on resource management for real-time and cloud systems. I look forward to building on my existing research and industry experience by reasoning about and building efficient cloud systems!"

Nima Nasiri

Wishing Arshia and Nima a wonderful journey at UBC!
